Breaking In Replacement 6,000 lbs Leaf Springs
Updated 02/21/2024 | Published 02/20/2024 >
Question:
Replaced springs and the shackles seem to be too close to the equalizer. Old springs and spec sheet stated 26inch springs so Im not sure why the positioning is that far off. Rv is sitting relatively level. Seems like I need to go with shorter springs?

Thanks for the picture of your build sheet! It does look like the etrailer 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # e94SR you purchased is the correct replacement spring. Feel free to email me back a picture of your suspension but unless you are flipping your equalizer with your trailer fully loaded you should just need to break the springs in. They're brand new so you should expect them to be pretty stiff especially if your trailer isn't fully loaded.
I recommend checking to see if your new shackles are the same length though.
