Question:
I have a 2008 dodge Ram 1500 with a brake controller already installed. Would like to replace with one with large as possible digital readout, and easy to install. Will be pulling a trailer with total weight of trailer and cargo 5000 lbs. will not pull any other trailer with this vehicle.

Hi Roger,
Since you're planning on only towing this trailer the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 you were already looking at is going to be the best option. This controller has a large digital readout for easy visibility. It doesn't have a bunch of extra settings to play with since you aren't towing multiple trailers, and since there's a plug-and-play wire harness # 3020-P the installation will be a breeze.
I've attached a short video below where Joe will walk you through the installation process.
