Question:

I have a 2013 Honda CR-V and am looking to flat tow it behind my motorhome, I am looking for roadmaster setup to tow it with, can you tell me all the components I would need to accomplish this. I am open to breaking systems and am looking for the best breaking system and easiest to install.

Hey Patrick, it's a lot of parts but I've got a list ready for you. To start, you are going to need a base plate, specifically the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521567-5.

Next, you'll need a tow bar that is compatible with the base plate you have and can handle the weight of your vehicle. I'm a fan of the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding # RM-522. This tow bar has a nice 6,000 lb capacity, is pretty fairly priced, and will work great with the base plate mentioned above.

Next up, is wiring. The Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120 will work great, and is super simple to install. You are also going to need fuse bypass # RM76511 if your owner's manual says to only pull the #19 ACC radio fuse, but if it says to pull #19 ACC radio fuse and the #20 ACC key lock fuse, use # RM76512.

Finally you're going to need a braking system. The Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Flat Tow Brake System # RM-9400 using the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps # RM-9332 is what I'd go for. This again is pretty simple to use, install, and will give you the braking power needed.
