Why Are There Compatible Flat Towing Components For A CVT 2021 Subaru Crosstrek

Updated 02/05/2024 | Published 02/03/2024

Question:

Question about flat towable issues with a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek CVT. Your website states the Owner’s Manual indicates the vehicle of towable four down but the manual limits toe speed and distance to only to 20 mph and 30 miles. How does that make RV towing feasible?

CVT models of the 2021 Crosstrek aren't really designed to be flat-towed but there will still be flat towing components that are confirmed to fit simply because the manual transmission models can be flat towed. You would either need a Crosstrek with a manual transmission or would need to pick another vehicle to flat tow. If you have another vehicle that you can tow then let me know the year/make/model and I'd be happy to check tow-ability and recommend the correct components to get you setup to tow.
