Regarding 13322 for a 2012 Silverado 1500 LT 4.8L, what does Trimming of the fascia mean exactly?

On some years that Curt trailer hitch # 13322 fits, there may be some trimming of the rear fascia for the hitch to fit properly. It is not necessary on all models but you will only know once you go to install the hitch. The area that would need to be trimmed would be at the bottom center of the rear fascia. It is an area that is 6-1/2 inches across and 3 inches tall measured from the bottom of the fascia. On the 2012 though it does not appear that trimming is required.
