First, B and W gooseneck hitch # BWGNRC800 is just the hitch. You will also need an installation kit that fits your 1998 Dodge Ram 2500. For the installation kit and the hitch together use # BWGNRK1394.
When we install gooseneck trailer hitches here we take the whole day because we also film the installation. A professional with experience who was not being filmed would probably take 3 to 6 hours. I have included a link to the instructions for you. What you can do is run it by an installer and get a quote ahead of time. I have also linked a video review of the hitch for you.
