Question:

I have 2006 Fleetwood Bounder 35E replacing Sharp microwave my order number is 120418XXX trying to mount mounting plate to wall directions says find wood stud I do not have wood stud do you have a way to do this my old sharp mounting plate must have at least 30 screw in it.

The instructions for the High Pointe Over the Range RV Convection Microwave # HP44ZR are fairly vague when you consider not all RV manufacturers build campers the exacts same way. Some will have wood studs, others will have metal studs but it sounds like your 2006 Fleetwood Bounder 35E has a sheet of steel built into the walls. This would explain why your Sharp microwave mounting plate has so many screws holding it in. Your walls will likely still have some vertical metal studs behind the sheet steel in your walls. If you can locate these studs those would be the best place to mount the bracket for the new microwave since the bracket is smaller than the one with your Sharp microwave.
