Question:
How much clearance is needed from the center of the mounting hole to the top of step hooks if mounted below a door? What is the distance between the rope of the 1 inch plate and the top of the hooks the steps mount on?

From the base of the bracket # CR2001 to the top of the hook measures 1-3/4 inches and measured from the mounting hole centers to the top of the hook measures 1 inch.
