Hi there I have a 2020 Chevy 2500 duramax with a 6.6’ short bed My truck does Not have the factor puck kit I’m looking for a new fifth wheel hitch and rails, I like the BandW patriot but I would like to see one other options are out there Thanks Timothy

The B&W Patriot # BWRVK3270 is definitely a great option, but if you're looking for a bit more convenience then you'll want to take a look at the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034. This hitch has a slider that activates automatically as you start to turn to give you up to an additional 14" of travel to make those tight turns without having to get out of the truck. Other options on the market, like the Patriot, will require you to get out and pull the slide release handle, get back in and make your turn, get back out and pull the handle again, get back in the truck, and then reverse to lock the hitch back in the towing position. With an Autoslide you'll be able to breeze right through the turn without all the extra hassle.

To mount the Demco Autoslide in the bed of your Silverado you'll need the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM39FR. I also recommend installing an in-bed 7-way # PK11893-11932 to make it easier to plug in your trailer.
