Due to the weight of your E-Bike being 60lbs you are going to need a hitch mounted bike rack on your 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-400 convertible. A trunk mounted rack like the Yakima HangOut # Y02638 is only going to be capable of carrying bikes up to 35lbs each.
I recommend installing the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH37MR as you will be able to remove the receiver section when not in use. This will give you the cleanest appearance without losing ground clearance or departure angle when not in use. The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR will fit into the 2" receiver opening and is capable of carrying 2 bikes up to 80lbs each. Then you will not have to worry if you add a tool bag or rack to your bike.
