Question:
Id like to flat tow my 2009 Dodge Durango with a 2017 Jayco Precept. Will the etrailer e74ZR tow bar work with the Roadmaster EZ base plate kit 52273-1? If not, can you recommend a tow bar that will? Thanks.

Yes, our etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR will connect to the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 52273-1 with a Crossbar # 910021-00 for your 2009 Dodge Durango. You will need to measure the height of the receiver on your 2017 Jayco Precept to determine if you will need a high-low adapter to keep the tow bar within 3" of level. When we installed the Roadmaster base plate we found it had a height of 16.5" to the center of the mounts. If the center of your receiver is more than 3" higher or lower you will need one of the adapters from the list below.
4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-4
6" Rise/Drop # RM-048-6
8" Rise/Drop # RM-048-8
10-1/4" Rise/Drop # RM-048-10
The Wiring Kit # RM-15267 and Charge Line # RM-156-25 will provide you with the electrical for your tail lights and maintain your battery on the Durango why you are flat towing. This will prevent the Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR from killing your battery while in tow.
