To add base rails to your 2003 Ford F-150 short bed I recommend the following from Curt:
- Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16437-204
This includes custom brackets so you won't be drilling as much into your truck frame, and matches your PullRite as long as it's the style that installs on industry standard base rails. Please note this won't fit if your truck is a Flareside or Stepside.
Then to get your PullRite hitch to fit with your pin box you'll need a capture plate. We do have a few of them here:
- MORryde Pin Box Adapter for PullRite SuperGlide Hitch # MR57ZR
- Gen-Y Capture Plate for PullRite 5th Wheel Sliding Hitches # GY98FR
If you have a different pin box then you'll need to get the capture plate directly from PullRite at the attached link.
