Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch For A 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 With Air Springs

Question:

I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD crew cab with the short box and airbags. What slider hitch do you recommend?

If you have Air Lift branded air springs then you should be good to install the B&W Turnoverball Hitch # BWGNRK1019-5W and use the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W. If you have Firestone air springs you'll have to remove them since they mount in the same location as the brackets for both gooseneck and base rail kits.

The B&W Turnoverball hitch will give you the most versatility since you'll be able to tow a gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer and then remove the hitch ball or Companion for a completely clear bed. B&W's Companion is well-known as one of the best hitches on the market for durability and comfort and the slider base will provide you with an extra 12" of travel for more turning clearance.
