Question:
Can this piece be hot dipped galvanized in lieu of powder coated? I had purchased one several years ago and found that rusting was my only problem. I have since given that unit away. I am looking to purchase another one but have reservations due to the rusting problem. What are my options?

To my knowledge, none of the manufacturers offer cargo carriers in any finishes other than paint or powder coat. I would recommend getting this aluminum carrier # C18113.
