Question:
I saw your video for the 2007 grand caravan transmission cooler installation. I was wondering if you have any videos or directions for a 2009 model. Thanks.

We do not have a transmission cooler install video for the 2009 model year Grand Caravan. While some of the installation details for your 2009 may differ from those shown in the video on the 2007, overall the process will be the same.
The 2007 and 2009 model years of the Dodge Grand Caravan are indeed different generations of the vehicle; the 2007 is the 4th generation and the 2009 is the 5th generation. The Derale Transmission Cooler # D13502 that you referenced is considered a fit for all three V6 engines offered in the 2009 Grand Caravan.
Oil and transmission coolers are not actually vehicle-specific; you can install one as large as the space available to mount it. With coolers bigger is better. The ideal location, as noted in the linked articles, is in front of your A/C condenser. Other placement is also possible but at the expense of cooling efficiency. I have also linked the written installation instructions for your reference.
When doing your installation you want to avoid any sharp bends in the lines that might interfere with fluid flow. Some additional hose may help with this; we offer Derale # D13003 which is a 4-foot length of high-temp hose that will help ensure you get the best performance from the cooler.
