what do you recommend doing in the winter when temps get below freezing is the carry bag insulated or is there something else that can be done

The Clearsource Ultra RV Water Filter System w/ VirusGuard # CS87FR is not insulated so you would need to insulate the compartment that the unit is sitting or build some sort of insulated box for the unit to sit in. Depending on the space around it you could also run a heater by it to prevent the water from freezing.
