Question:
I intend to outfit my 2024 Chevy Equinox RS with a RM Direct Connect Baseplate and use a RM Nighthawk tow bar. My RV measures 18 inches from ground to the middle of the receiver. Do you happen to know whether I can expect to need a hi-low adapter with this configuration? Also, does RM make adapters that can also accommodate a telescoping flag pole or Starlink mount?

Expert Reply:
No, you shouldn't need one. When the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # RM-523193-5 is installed on the 2024 Chevy Equinox RS it measures 15-3/4" from the ground to the center of the arms. In order to be considered level the tow bar needs to be within 3" of the base plate arms.
I checked Roadmaster's website and didn't see any adapters for a flag pole or Starlink mount. The best I can offer is the Camco Hitch-Mounted Flagpole Holder for 2" Hitch Receivers item # CAM51611.
Here are some other parts you will need to flat tow a 2024 Chevy Equinox RS with a Nighthawk Tow Bar item # RM-676:
Wiring Harness - RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - item # RM-910030-7
Roadmaster Bent Electrical Socket Bracket item # RM-910030-5
Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for LED Tail Lights item # RO44FR
Or
Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Incandescent Tail Lights item # RO94FR
Charge Line - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25
Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes
