Can The Adapter Port On DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit Be Repositioned For Attaching Brake Lines?

Updated 11/08/2023 | Published 11/04/2023

Question:

Can you reposition the brake line attachment on the stainless caliper that comes with this kit without it leaking at 1600 psi? In my case, I either need to tighten the fitting 270 degrees or loosen it 45 degrees so it points to the rear of the trailer instead of straight away from the caliper as it comes from the factory. If you can reposition, which direction would you turn for my set up? If you cant reposition, could I remove the fitting and put it back in the orientation I need using new high temperature thread sealant? Thanks!

For the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit # DE22FR you will need to remove the Adapter Port # DE73MR and clean off the thread sealant. Then you will be able to apply new sealant when you position the port back on in the orientation you need.
