Question:

Can the e32JR Transition Plate end platesinch be swapped side for side to place the hinges closer to the center to provide more support to the center plate? Thanks for the help.

In regards to the etrailer Enclosed Trailer Transition Plate # e32JR, the end plates are not designed to be swapped. There are pre-drilled holes in the end plates and center plates, which would not line up correctly if the end plates were swapped. Also the placement of the hinge may obstruct the center plate. So there is going to be a designated passenger and driver side plate.

That being said, the center plate will have plenty of support, even with the transition plate in its widest adjustment. There is really no need to alter anything to add support. No matter what you do, you will still be limited to the 1,000 lb WLL.
