Question:
Hi, I have a 1998 Carson racer 20ft enclosed trailer. It has dual axles. I need to replace 1 of the axles. I have tried to contact Carson trailer to find out the weight capacity that I need but no luck. I need the axle and hubs with brakes. Can you recommend anything? Its 95 hub to hub, 80 from spring center, I believe the hub is 5 on 5. Thank you

We do indeed carry axles with a 95 hub face and 80" spring center. Knowing that it is a 5 lug hub, you are likely dealing with a 3,500 lb rated axle. If you want to confirm this you could always measure the diameter of the axle tube. A 3,500 lb axle should have a 2-3/8" tube diameter. If it is a higher capacity it would be a 3" tube. Provided all of that checks out, you will need the following parts for an axle, brakes and hubs.
Trailer Axle Beam # e68GR
Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA (sold as a pair)
Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K (sold individually)
I would like to add that the 5 on 5 bolt pattern is uncommon, and we do like to confirm the bolt pattern prior to ordering if possible. A 5 lug pattern is measured from the center of one lug, to the outside edge of either lug across from it. This will give you the true bolt pattern measurement.
