Recommended Flat Towing Components For A 2024 Chevy Equinox LS

Wanting to flat tow my new 2024 Chevy Equinox LS and was needing some help picking out everything? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

To flat tow your 2024 Chevy Equinox LS you'll need the following components:

Baseplate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523193-5.

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # e74ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables and an adjustable head to help keep the tow bar level between the motorhome and Equinox.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: For LED tail lights the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM38FR. For incandescent tail lights the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RM26FR. These splice-in diode kits will display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of the Equinox.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll need the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. If it has air brakes then you'll need the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99243 instead. Both of these systems will install permanently so that you're ready to go any time after the initial installation.

GM requires that the battery be disconnected while flat towing so I recommend also picking up the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766 to make disconnecting/reconnecting the battery as easy as pressing a button.
