When not in used, should the jaws on a Reese 5th wheel hitch be stored open or closed,or does it matter ?

It doesn't really matter if you leave the jaws of your Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 open or closed when not in use. Most people will just leave the jaws of their hitch closed until they're ready to couple to the trailer, but it really just comes down to personal preference.
