Question:

I was looking into upgrading my truck to a 2014 dodge ram 3500. I currently have a Reese signature series uses the puck system and a 5th airborne sidewinder on my fifth wheel. As I understand this hitch wont fit the 2014 rams. I saw there is a bandw companion that fits the ram factory option. But my question is is will that be compatible with the sidewinder as the site says not to use with bandw hitches. If I went the other route mentioned with the adapter and an above bed rail Reese is that a simple removal to have an empty bed when needed? My last question is there any options at all besides a bolted down above rail setup if I chose a 2014 ram with the rambox setup seeing how the factory 5th wheel option isnt available with the rambox? Id prefer a rambox but want to be able to remove hitch and have a flat floor box still.Thanks for your help.

Your best option is to go with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3600. I spoke with my contact at B&W Trailer Hitches who confirmed that it is compatible with a Reese Fifth Airborne Sidewinder on a 2014 Ram 3500 that has the factory installed fifth wheel prep package. When the hitch is removed you will have complete access to the bed.

This will allow you to get all of the options you want except the Ram Box. At present there are no fits for a bed containing a Ram Box.
