Question:
I have a 2021 Eagle HT travel trailer with a double 5145lb axels. I want to add 4 shocks to improve ride. This Jayco camper already has brackets and mounting holes for a shock system standard on most Jayco Eagle 5th and travel trailers. So I really just need shocks and any hole bushing hardware if any. I saw one etrailer expert response recommending a full shock add-on package for an Eagle HT. This is not correct or needed. Thanks.

You are correct, your 2021 Jayco Eagle HT does not need the full kit # LC281281. All you need to add shocks to your trailer is the Lippert Heavy-Duty Replacement Shock # LC283280. This is a single shock so you will need to order a quantity of 4. They come with everything you need to install the shocks on your factory brackets.

Based on this reply, ordered Monroe 555025 (same as Lippert LC283280) for our Eagle HT TT with same, dual 5145# dexter axles. Shocks are too long. I can fully lift the trailer by one axle on one side and get enough clearance to install one, but the shock is too long, preventing me from getting the second installed. The only way to install would be to disassemble the suspension. Even then, the resting height of the suspension will put the shock at the short end of its travel. The Monroe 555001 (same as Lippert LC283271) is more appropriate for these trailers.
