The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C47HR is our most concealed receiver for your 2023 Subaru Forester. This hides the cross tube behind the rear fascia rather than being exposed like you find on the Curt # C13409. It uses a 2" receiver opening which increases the range of hitch mounted accessories and ball mounts you have available.
I do recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56040 when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat wiring connection which is the most commonly used connector for trailers you might tow. It also allows for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if you have a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack which impairs the view of your tail lights.
