Parts Needed to Convert a Surge Disc Brake Trailer to an Electric Over Hydraulic Setup
Published 12/30/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2008 Ez Loader trailer TEZ102B 19-22/24 4700. I currently have hydralic disc surge brakes with the oil bath hub. Do you have a kit to replace the hubs and brakes for both axels? I was also looking into the electric over hydralic brake systems. Would you have anything that would fit my trailer?

If you currently have disc brakes on your trailer and are looking to convert to an electric over hydraulic setup you don't have to replace the brakes as long as they are working properly.
All you really need to do is disconnect the brake line that plugs into your surge brake actuator and then plug it into an electric over hydraulic actuator like the Cargo Towing # HBA16, wire it up properly, and then bleed the brakes and you would be good to go.
Your surge brake actuator will need to be locked out to prevent it from moving. There should be a bolt hole that you can run a bolt through that will prevent it from moving.
You will need a brake controller compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes as well. For that I would recommend the P2 Part # 90885.
