Is It Common for Tandem Axle Trailer to Only Have Brakes on One Axle

Question:
I have a 6x10 dump trailer with 2 axle 1 has brake the other dont . It is good to have both axle brake on this trailer Thank

It's actually pretty common for tandem axle trailer to only have brakes on one axle. You certainly can add brakes to the other axle but among other things I would need to know the axle capacity.
