Question:

I wanted to know the measurement of how much the backing plate is set inside of the brake shoes. The current one I have is around 15/16inch or 7/8inch set inside of the brake shoes.

I took a walk out to our warehouse to measure these TruRyde backing plates # TRU96FR. I have attached a few pictures for your reference. The backing plate is not flat on the back, so I measured from the "deepest" part of the plate- the surface with the bolt holes. I would call it 3/4 of an inch. Maybe just a hair under 3/4". It is hard to measure since I do not have a fixed point and you kind of have to eyeball it.
