Question:

I have a 2005 Volvo V70 and have picked the C12318 hitch and the S64650 bike rack. Should this work to carry our two bikes ? Thanks

The Curt trailer hitch # C12318 and Swagman bike rack # S64650 are compatible with each other and your 2005 Volvo V70. But with the Curt hitch, Curt requires the use of a stabilization strap, # 18050, for any non-trailer load such as a bike rack. The platform style rack would be difficult to use with the strap.

For a hitch that does not require the strap use Draw-Tite hitch # 36297. I have linked a video showing installation on a similar vehicle.

The Swagman XC bike rack is a basic platform style rack that can carry many different styles of bikes. It will fit the 1-1/4 inch hitches listed above and also comes with an adapter to fit in a 2 inch hitch should the need ever arise. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.
