Is There a Way to Use an Older Thule Hullavator 897XT on Yakima CoreBars

Question:

I have a set of Thule 897XT Hullavator Kayak Racks that I would like to install on a set of Yakama CoreBars. Do you have any adapters that will work. I have seen the adapters for the newer 898 Pro, but not for the 897XT. Thanks!

I do have an option for you, but there is not any sort of adapter that will allow the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier 897XT to be used with the Yakima CoreBar Crossbars like part # Y00422.

You can continue to use the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier 897XT, but you will need to switch out the Yakima CoreBar Crossbars for Yakima JetStream Crossbars like part # 8880649 and then get the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier 897XT Track Mount Adapter part 7521383001 from Thule.

If you don't want to change out the Yakima CoreBar Crossbars, then you would just need to upgrade to the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898.
