Will a Reese Goose Box Work w/ the GEN-Y Goosepuck 5" Offset Ball On a 2022 Sierra 3500 Puck System?

Question:

Would the GEN-Y Gooseneck 5inch Offset Ball Puck Mounted System work with the Reese Goosebox 20k in a 2022 GMC 3500 Sierra, standard bed, with 5th/goose prep.? Or is the Offset ball even needed?

Yes, it will. The Reese Goose Box item # RP85FR will work with the GEN-Y Goosepuck 5" Offset Ball item # GY55XR on your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500. Since your Sierra has the shorter 6-3/4' bed I recommend using it.

I attached a picture below so you can see the offset ball being used. It's got Gen-Y's gooseneck adapter instead of the Reese but it'll give you an idea of how it's set up.

If you don't already have them you will also need the Reese Safety Chain Kit item # RP49151 and Safety Chain Loops item # C94ZR. It's required by law to use safety chains with gooseneck connections.
