Solution for RV Waste Valves that Get Difficult to Operate Over Time

Question:
I have a 2014 Open Range fiver. My black and grey valves are very difficult to slide. Ive the handles are less then 30inch from the valve but OEM installed Im guessing a 96inch and 72inch Cable. I can reposition the bracket so that a single 90° turn is needed for each valve and would only need 30-36inch cables, but cant find those on your site. What needs to be done to the end of the cable and sheath valve side if I cut existing cable shorter?

When RV waste valves get difficult to operate the issue is that the valves need to be cleaned as build up on the shaft area of the valve is causing the problem. I've read that alot of people have luck submerging the valve in a bucket of soapy water (use a more powerful dish soap if you can) which breaks down the residue that has built up in the valve. Try letting it soak for like 24 hours.
This is more common when the valve is mounted in a way that the shaft of the valve is downward and not up where the reside would have less chance to build up.
