Helpful Expert Reply:
I actually checked out the owner's manual for your 2023 Corolla Cross and it states that there is actually a 165 lb capacity, so that should be more than enough to carry a couple of kayaks.
To carry your kayaks, I recommend checking out the Yakima JayLow Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # Y04073.
This carrier can carry up to two kayaks (in the vertical position, or 1 kayak in the J-style position), a maximum single kayak capacity of 80 lbs or a dual kayak capacity of 120 lbs, and will easily install onto your OEM crossbars using a clamp on mounting system.
