Will Nicer Trailer Lights Keep From Burning Out on 1996 Bigfoot Truck Camper
Updated 07/04/2023 | Published 06/29/2023 >
Question:
I havt a 1996 Bigfoot truck camper. I have tried to up grade the incadicent Bargman lights with bargman leds. I have replaced 4 right side lights because they burn out after a short time. They said I could have a bad ground but I have checked the ground wires on both sides to be the same. I have purchased two resistors and another Bargman light. Do you feel your light is made better than theirs, therefor I would be better off changing to your new lights?

The Command model lights like the Dual LED Trailer Tail Light # CE86FR tend to be a little more fancy than Bargman but the Bargman line of lights is a solid choice for sure.
If you're seeing burn out with your trailer lights then you definitely need to check all of your ground and your connections. Your grounds need to be solid and connected to a clean, bare-metal surface, and then your wiring connections need to be clean and in good shape. Upgrading to nicer lights than a Bargman brand won't do you any good in a burnout kind of situation.
Be sure to check your main trailer ground as well.
