Can A Progressive Dynamics PD4000 Series Converter Charge A Vehicle Battery Along With An Alternator

Question:

Hello I have a progressive Dynamics PD4000 series with battery charger, I installed it on a van powered by a Onan Generator, if I connect the battery charger to the van battery and turn on my van can be any problems with the alternator and the power dynamics charger charing the battery at the same time?

Progressive Dynamics 4000 series converters, like the # PD4045KA, all have a built-in charge wizard to monitor the battery's charge level and will adjust the charge it's sending to compensate. This means it can be used with other charging sources like your vehicle's alternator, solar panels, etc. and not have an issue.
