There isn't a set length specified for the cables for a motorhome so it's really going to take a bit of planning and measuring to determine the correct length needed. You'll want to start where the valve is going to sit and then measure over to area where you want the valve handle to sit, keeping in mind anything the cable will have to work around to get to this location. You can always go a bit bigger and just wind the cable up a bit and secure with a loom clamp to the frame or inner wall of the trailer.
If you determine that the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable for RV Gray Water Tank # TC172 you were looking at with a 72" cable fits your needs then you'll also want to pick up the black tank version # TC372 as well. I've attached a link to our selection of cable-actuated waste valves below incase you find you need a different size.
When installing any of these I highly recommend just unbolting the current valves and swapping these into place so that you don't have to cut or glue anything.
