Will the sumosprings work on a 2001 f150 xlt 4x4? I only see reference to 2wd.

SumoSprings does oddly enough exclude the 4WD versions of the 2001 Ford F-150 so you'd have to go a different route for suspension enhancement. Instead I would recommend the Roadactive kit part # RAS4622 as this will give you the adjustable support you are wanting, installs easily, and unlike other options improves handling and stability as opposed to making the ride quality harsher.
