Will The Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13689-52 Make It Easier To Connect Boat Trailer?

Question:
Hello, I have a question about the Demco trailer tongue coupler, DM13689-52 I have a boat trailer with a trigger style coupler. The coupler requires me to get the ball in the exact position it needs to be before the coupler will attach over the ball. The boat trailer tongue is fairly heavy for me... meaning I have a hard time adjusting it by hand lifting, tugging, etc to get it to fit down on the ball... quite often requiring me to back up/pull fwd with the vehicle often as little as 1/8-1/4 inch... very frustrating. Will the Demco give me more leeway, to not have to be so accurate when aligning the ball under the coupler?

The eZ-Latch on the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13689-52 does make it easier to connect the trailer and ensure the coupler latches down fully than your trigger style coupler. Since you can visibly see the latch raise and drop you know you are connected. The coupler does have the lip which if you are not quite perfectly aligned with the hitch ball you can set some of the weight on the ball and push the trailer over to drop onto the hitch ball. I find using Hitch Lube # 58117 both on the ball and inside the coupler helps to make connecting and disconnecting from the hitch ball much easier.
