Solution for a 2013 Subaru Outback Using a Thule Helium Bike Rack that Hits the Rear Bumper

Question:

I have a Subaru Outback 2013, tried to put the rack on, but in the closed position the rack handles hit my bumper, so I cannot put the rack on in the upright position no bikes have you seen this before. Thought about trying a hitch extension,but diddNt know is if it would rattle too much

For your 2013 Subaru Outback using the Thule Helium Platform XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH53GC you'll just need to use a hitch extender like the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver 7" # HE06. This hitch extender will push out your rack an additional 7" so you'll be able to clear your bumper.
