The Thule OutWay Trunk Bike Rack for 3 Bikes # TH56BV you're looking at is actually not going to work with your Volvo XC40 Recharge, unfortunately.
However thanks to your submitted pictures I was able to spot that your vehicle has a set of crossbars installed which means you could use something like the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Bike Rack # INA389 instead.
This bike rack would be mounted to the roof of your Volvo via the crossbars, and has a maximum weight capacity of 50-lbs. I took a look at your bike and it weighs only 51-lbs, so if you're able to remove the battery that would free up some space and allow you to use this rack.
Other than that, there really is not an option for you since a hitch mounted rack is not an option and there are no trunk mounted racks that are compatible with your vehicle.
