Hi. What shear force can handle this product? I have a 2021 RAM 3500 pick-up truck? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
Hitch accessories end up being mostly secured horizontally in trailer hitches by the tongue weight of the accessory instead of by the hitch pin which is why hitch pin locks like the # e98881 are not not rated for shear strength. At some point it would fail, but in reality it would be at a weight that would be higher than your truck would be rated to tow.
