Question:

Hello! I have an old Yakima hitch 4 bike rack that is missing the key to the lock. Can you help me narrow down the potential replacement key code for this product so that I can order a replacement key? the rack was purchased back in 2004 or 2005. it is still in good condition since it has been sitting in the garage this whole time. Thank you.

If your Yakima 4 bike rack uses the same key system you can use the Control Key # Y8007835 to remove the lock core as long as the lock is not locked. If the lock is locked you will need to visit a locksmith to have the cylinder unlocked before you can remove the core. Once the core is removed you will be able to find the key number on the side of the core like you see on Core # Y8771-A139. Once you have this I can help you locate the correct key or a new core and key if the one you have is no longer available.
