Is A Stop Light Switch Kit Needed For A 2022 Jeep Cherokee

I have a 2022 Jeep Cherokee with the tow package. I am installing the ETBC7 Universal Kit for Brake Controller-7 way RV and 4 way flat- 10 Gauge Wire along with the 39523 Tekonsha POD Trailer Brake Controller. I also have the 3014-P Tekonsha Custom WIring Adapter for trailer brake Controllers. I am not sure and I am wondering if I am going to need RM-751449 Stop light switch kit for this or is their another way to send the brake signal from the controller to the 7 pin connector.

The brake light switch wire for the 2022 Jeep Cherokee isn't useable so you would need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751471 in order to get the braking signal. The Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751449 you referenced would only be compatible with select Jeep Grand Cherokee's so it wouldn't be a fit for your vehicle.
