Question:

I have a 2022 Silverado 2500 with a short box and a gooseneck ball. Also have a 2005 forest river Cherokee wolf pack toy hauler with an air ride 5th wheel pin box. I believe the stock pin box was a lippert 1116 from research. I cant add the adaptor convert a ball to the air ride hitch so Im assuming I need to get a standard pin box and the offset convert a ball adaptor to give me clearance on my cab. Thank you

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 is indeed not compatible with cushioned pin boxes so if you wanted to use this, you would need to switch to a non-cushioned style like the Lippert 1116 5th Wheel Pin Box part # LC1270271.

Please note, it isn't guaranteed you'll have enough clearance for full turns even with the offset so you might want to measure beforehand to be sure this setup will give you what you're looking for. That said, you don't need full clearance for most turns, only in tight spacing like gas stations and camp grounds. The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter provides a 7-1/2" offset so just measure out this far from your existing pin box.
