Question:
Hello, I have a 2014 Cadillac srx with the plug for hitch wiring. Do you have a 7 way harness that will connect to this plug that came with the vehicle or do i need to connect a 4 pin then a 7 way to that? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The factory plug on your 2014 Cadillax SRX will only work with a 4-way harness since it only has the functionality for the trailer lights. You will need to install the 4-way and then add a 7-way to it.
The most reliable option for a 4-way is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118259. Once installed, you can use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else you need to upgrade to a 7-way.
