Is Trailer Axle Spring Seat Dimension Critical when Picking Out Replacement Axle
Updated 05/11/2023 | Published 05/10/2023 >
Question:
When I measure the spring center I get 78 3/16. The hub face is 93. This trailer is a 2001 and the axle is damaged. Will the e93GR fit for this or is the exact measurement critical?

Expert Reply:
Exact measurements are critical when picking out a replacement axle for a trailer. Especially the spring seat to spring seat dimension since that is where the axle attaches and it needs to match to allow the suspension to function. You are very close to the # e93GR though so I would try measuring again or if you have another axle on the trailer that isn't damaged measure that.
