Updated 05/09/2023 | Published 05/06/2023 >
Question:
My trailer is connected to my truck for heading out early in the morning. The charging light is illuminated on the break away box while the truck is not running. Will the break away battery charging run the vehicle battery dead overnight?

Expert Reply:
The power draw from a breakaway like the # 20099 is so low there is no way it would drain your vehicle battery. Leaving it plugged in overnight will not be a problem.
