Replacing Gate Valves On A 2017 Little Guy T@B M@X S Travel Trailer

Question:
2017 T@B Mxs need to replace Bristol waste valve for black water tank. Do I need 3hub to 3lug or 3inch Hub to spigot .Ive chosen to replace the whole assembly as one of the hooks on the end cap and some of the protruding latches on the hub adapter are broken. Previous owner had an additional gate valve which may have been because of leak. I live in Colorado so thought it would be prudent to replace valve. Help?

Most of the time you can easily just replace the gate valve and save a bit of money but if you're wanting to just swap it all out then you'll most likely need to do a bit of modification. The gate valves can be unbolted whereas the hubs are glued into place so you'll have to find a good spot to cut them off and then determine what components to use based on the what you have.
Most of the time it's much easier to use a hub fitting instead of a spigot since it can just slip over the pipe whereas the spigot will need a hub to slip into and there's typically not enough room to really work with.
From what I can see in your picture you don't have enough room to really cut much unless you go higher up and cut out quite a bit so I would work from the gate valve out and leave everything before it alone unless you're having an issue further up. I would unbolt the gate valve and leave the hub flange that's already glued onto the pipe. You can take the hub flange off of the # 34466N5A and bolt it to the flange hub that's still on your waste pipe and avoid having to cut or glue any components.
Since the # 34466N5A already has the lug fittings you would be able to just connect your waste hose directly to it to empty your tanks.
