Correct Replacement Anode Rod for a Suburban Water Heater
Updated 05/05/2023 | Published 05/03/2023 >
Question:
My Suburban hot water heater anode needs replaced. The threads on the tank are rusted/corroded and need to be cleaned up before intalling new anode rod. Wire brush doesnt get it. Ive read that it is 3/4 NTP but when I try to find a thread chaser, all I find is 14 thread inch chasers but I think the anode is 12 thread inch. Do you have a thread chaser available? Thank for your help

Expert Reply:
The 14 thread inch chaser will work just fine for you as the Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod # CAM11563 that you'll need for your Suburban water heater is 9-1/2" long with 3/4"-14 NPT pipe threads, so you're good to use the 14 thread inch chaser.
