Why is Towing Capacity of 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Lower
Question:
I’m trying to understand and I’ve been reading . So if I add a bigger hitch I can tow more? I have a 05 pt cruiser turbo model. It has many upgrades and around 400 horses and 370ft lbs of torque . I want to tow a vehicle when I go to the track. Power wise it’s not a problem. But structure wise of hitch is there a class 3 for pt cruisers?

The towing capacity of a vehicle is more than just horsepower and torque unfortunately. It's also based on the transmission, cooling system, brakes, and chassis strength. This is why for your 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser there are only Class I hitches available like the Curt # C11132. Unless the trailer and car are less than 2,000 lbs this wouldn't work.
